The First Computerized 3D Animation

In 1972 Ed Catmull (later Pixar and now Pixar and Disney Animation President) began work on the first computerized 3D animation at the University of Utah. Seems downright boring by today’s standards, but these methods are essentially the exact same that are used in 3D animation today.
